In all of the past, they were oppressed and held down
But now it is known that they are the same as us
It’s comforting to think that we’ve all come around
Fair treatment to all with none else to discuss
Suffrage is a must, in these modern days
The right to be treated just, regardless of gender
Held to the same standards despite what appearance portrays
But remember that you are to be their defender
Hold the door open and stand when they arrive
Don’t hit them or hurt them because of who they are
Understand the differences, adjust to strive
Change the rules and segregate and so they may go far
This country of rights, equality is its foundation
Accept for the occasional advantageous discrimination
